The Postmortem Fingerprinting Kit is a specialized forensic solution designed to assist investigators and forensic personnel in obtaining, recording, and preserving fingerprints from deceased individuals for identification purposes. It includes tissue-building solutions in 5 oz and 1 oz containers, silicone solution, silicone catalyst, finger tissue cleaner, and a magnifier with 2.5×–5× magnification to support the examination and preparation of fingers before fingerprint recording.

The kit contains a postmortem inking tool/pad, a record strip holder, and left- and right-hand postmortem fingerprint record strips measuring 8 × 1.5 inches for systematic fingerprint documentation. Specialized tools, including cadaver fingerprint spoons and a postmortem finger straightener, assist in positioning and handling fingers during the recording process. Additional accessories include cotton balls, evidence envelopes, scissors, tongs, a scalpel, disposable latex gloves, soft toothbrushes, disposable syringes, an LED penlight with batteries, and four-ply disposable towels.

The combination of tissue preparation materials, fingerprint recording supplies, illumination equipment, and handling instruments supports postmortem fingerprint recovery in forensic laboratories, mortuaries, and medico-legal investigations. The complete set is supplied in a molded polypropylene carrying case for organized storage, protection, and convenient transportation.
