Gel Lifters have been developed for the lifting of fingerprints, dust marks, and micro traces from crime scenes. The gelatine layer allows the lifting of trace elements from virtually every surface, including porous materials such as paper or cardboard, and the range is available in multiple colors - black, white, transparent/clear, and grey - to provide optimal contrast against light-colored, dark-colored, and other varied surfaces. The black lifters are designed for lifting latent prints, footwear impressions, and dust traces from light-colored, rough, porous, or textured surfaces, while the white lifters are engineered for lifting latent prints, dusty shoeprints, and trace evidence from dark-colored, rough, porous, or uneven substrates, and the transparent variant allows the lifted mark to be viewed and photographed directly through the lifter itself. All variants feature a thick, elastic, low-tack gelatin layer that conforms seamlessly into textured surface crevices without embedding or damaging fragile traces, reinforced with a flexible, tear-resistant acetate, PET, or linen rubber backing that prevents stretching or deformation during removal, along with long-lasting shelf stability that resists drying out or hardening under standard storage. The lifters are available in multiple standard sizes - 5" x 5.5", 5.2" x 7.2", and 8" x 8" - to suit varying scene areas and evidence types, each supplied in packs of 10 individual sheets with protective cover sheets. Lifted marks can then be photographed or examined with oblique lighting for further analysis and documentation.
